'Too Cool for School' was curated by PonyAndPoppy. Is this the cutest? I've never been in a treasury like this one.

It features this guy who never got no love before:

I wanted to see how pictures at night in my new studio turned out. So I took some.
Here's some more ephemera:
Here's some more ephemera:
Check out the juxtaposition of the vintage U.S. constitution booklet w/that crazy racist advertising.
On the other hand, I've seen people call any old advertising that included black people racist. Just because the black person was a porter or maid. But those were some of the only jobs they were able to have back then. No one calls it racist when there's NO people of color pictured, and yet that makes the people in question invisible.
Of course, most have the quotes of them talking like happy idiots.

Random tangent.
ANYHOW.
Here's a scary clown on the box to an old film reel. (Now I'll go off on a rant about scary clowns...)
Would anyone want an entire old National Geographic?
OH! Brain spaz! How about I give YOU guys MY address and you send me a self-addressed envelope w/some amount of postage on it. I'll fill up the envelope, whatever the size, take it to the post and pay the balance of the shipping???!!!
Cuz I'm out of manila envelopes. And lazy. Also, then you can not feel bad about asking for, like, a pile of heavy-assed National Geographics which might have more expensive shipping.
OK! That's how I'll do it!
So, email a request at marinarios@yahoo.com and I'll reply w/my address.
Cool? Cool!
And something that came together today, in my glorious studio:
Always feel like I should write the word 'studio' in quotes. Cuz it still feels like just a bedroom w/all my junk in it.
Glorious, glorious junk...
Glorious, glorious junk...
Yay, sign me up for general ephemera. E-mail me your address. I'll then pick out the best bits of the bundle I have you. No beads, I promise! : )
