Richelle: YES! Novacan works for every metal except aluminum. (Nothing oxidizes aluminum.) You just gotta brush more on or soak it a tad longer. Be patient and it'll turn black. I'm constantly telling people this. I'm gonna tattoo it on my forehead.

Fire oxidizes aluminum--not too hot like with a torch, but just a match. Maybe "oxidizes" is too strong a word, but it alters it enough so it looks rusted/brownish.
