Both of you ladies did excellent work. But I will be getting you addicted to the ways of oxidation in the upcoming tutorial. Y'all asked for it, I am but your humble servant.
Oh but before moving on, I wanna share a bead collection in Happyfallout's shop right now:
She uses raku techniques to get results quite unlike anything I've ever seen. So the shiny ones and the charcoal ones are both raku! ok?
From lana guerra...

These are all in her shop, BlackLodgeJewelry.
Except for these which she tells me sold within 30 minutes of listing:
Girl ain't shy with the color!
Then TuscanRose who'se been making these since before she bought the tute, so I don't know if they count:
And in her sold section:
I love her incorporation of the measuring tape.
OK, so here's a vid because my tits are the size of watermelons. And if that sentence made no sense... See, a while ago I used to put up cute animal videos every time I was PMSing... cuz it somehow made me feel better... . Whatever. You need to turn the sound up or it makes no sense. I mean, it'll still make no sense...

If my ears could retch they would, that's the worst Liverpool accent ever, up there with Dick Van Dyke's mockney accent in Mary Poppins. Love Happy Fallout's bangles, and Tuscan's and Lodge
oh that is so not the point! and plus if it were a good accent the dog wouldn't like it I bet.
Dog's a corgi; they are the enchanted ones! Sign me up for the tute on distressing the crapshit outta shiny. It will come from the leading authority on it!
The dog video is a scream! the raku is fab and loving all the bangles. It's always wonderful to see people's own spin on a single technique, eh? I guess my 8,000 pre tute bangles don't count either, huh? even tho they were inspired by your mini blog tute from long ago. great work everybody!
I bought your tute and have a big basket of your grandkids hanging around. I haven't gotten around to photographing them yet, and I'm feeling kind of camera shy now that I've seen some of these other awesome ones. Soon, though.
Oxidation tute, yayayayayay~! I was a little sad the oxidation part had to be cut from the bangles tutorial, but I do believe it's better to focus on just one topic at a time, and then be all the more thorough. Can't wait to see it pop up, and then there's crossing my fingers I'll get my hands on the materials here. Germany's pretty strict what with selling chemicals, and I found out last week you can't even buy ammonia anymore, WTF. And what's with any wires thicker than 18 gauge vanishing from the craft stores? Except for aluminum wire in all colors of the rainbow, eh.
*stops self before she can launch herself into a fully fledged rant* Do love all those "grandchildren", they are so amazingly diverse, even though they are all based on the same thing.
Thank you! I'm drooling at lana guerra's tattoo. And the bangles.
The difference between the totally black ones and the glossy ones is the glaze, or rather the glazes -- a coat of glass, really. Here's a ceramist that makes really radiant raku beads, they're amazing: http://www.etsy.com/shop/elementspottery
Man alive, does everyone have their bleeding right now?! I feel like it. My tits were already the size of watermelons but now i have the added bonus of my sternum muscles aching- just like old times! I'm gunna make me some of those bangles just as soon as I buy some more wire- the reel of thrifted stuff I've been using for the last 4 years is almost gone.
Love the bangles!
The bangles are all yummy ! Happyfallout's seem to be made with so much fun. :3
I'm happy that my kids have found a way to your blog, even if they don't match your style.
Thank you so much !
Wow! These disciples are (almost) surpassing the master !!
'Almost' because master is master..
Beautiful job ladies!
Love it ladies. Love it! Can't wait for the next tute...I don't think I have a strong enough oxidizer... Novocan black or something like that? Anyway, longing for some guidance on this one.
Hello there!
I've been lurking on your blog for the past couple weeks, soaking in all of the gorgeousness! Love love love your work. Very inspiring.
And then I saw this post of yours : http://fancifuldevices.blogspot.com/2010/07/dickens-apocalypse.html (okay, maybe I was stalking you a bit =) and was flattered that you had included my work. Thanks (almost two years late on that thanks!)
I am excited to follow your blog as my work has been taking a turn lately. . . I don't know if I can call it assemblage, but I am looking to many assemblage artists and thinking in my bones "Yes! I want to do that!" (But not copy. My own designs, I hope you know what I mean, I mean nothing but flattery!)
K, that's probably the longest comment I've ever left on a blog anywhere/time. Have a great day! I look forward to all the art and beauty you have to offer.
