--I am such a sucker for shy folk its retarded. I am so protective of the little guy, I guess. Whenever you feel trepidation, you really really have to make an effort to channel your inner badass. Don't let anyone step all over you. Any of you shy gals out there, I'm talking to you! Any of you non-shy gals, if you see someone taking advantage of a meeker person, it's your responsibility to stand up for universal justice in an unjust world.... I'm veering way off topic.

--I've always liked the idea but i remember hearing they specifically don't like/disallow this. have you done it and had success? You can also turn boxes for poptarts and such inside out. And stuff it with plastic shopping bags. Which I'm sure none of you use in stores any more!

Blogger Alice said...I've been wanting to try Esty, but each time I think about actually doing it I come across a bit of negativity.
--It's not as easy as anyone expects. It is a real, full-time, entrepreneurial business in that you can invest tons of time and money and not succeed. It involves tons of photography skills which isn't what most of us are in it for. There's more competition than you can imagine. There's price competition. If you do it, you can only be successful if you think about it as an education, not as an income. Aside from that, I love it to death and would kill myself if etsy was suddenly erased from the world. End of sermon.

Nobody on earth obsesses as much as I do over formatting. I press 'return', check preview- the space is too bit. I erase it, check preview- now everything's too bunched together. I do this for every single line here and I drive myself crazy. Why does blogger's spacing make a double line for every 'return'? Anybody have any idea what I'm talking about?  Awww, shut up me!

Ahhhh, this post made my night! Why? Not sure really, except that I love looking at inspiring, beautiful jewelry and just finished a long day of playing with metal and paint. Perfect finish.

Hey I think I invented that wrapping of a wire with a bead around a circle thing you did here a couple of times...just sayin

I hear you on the blogger spacing. If you go to the HTML tab a the top of the 'new post' box, you can eliminate that spacing just by clicking at the far left edge of the sentence you want to move up, and hit the backspace key as many times as you need to get it in the right place. You may already know this, and if so, just tell me to shut up.

My beef with blogger (and I've got a few) is just when you have all the spacing how you want it, then you preview the post, and when you go back to publish the spacing has moved again, and you do it all over. bleh.

And by the way, your creations are gorgeous! 'Further Astray' has me weak in the knees! Good thing I'm sitting down.

I've given up the idea of a place on etsy for now. I can barley keep up with a job, my current website, making jewelry, keeping the house somewhat clean, and keeping up with our busy schedule. I know I'd just disapoint myself if I added another thing to my list.

That was one of the most entertaining blog posts, I thoroughly got a kick out of it. "13"'s was my favorite though, that is my type of reaction as well. All of these earrings are dreamy.

I have a real life size black piggy bank like your teeny baby piggy bead charm here that I've had my whole life...

And I love the seed bead wrap on these--it has an almost floral or 'grapes' kind of look that I've tried to achieve with braiding seed-beaded wire.

All your new earrings are gorgeous! Love "astray" but of course my favs are the gator scutes. Love, love, love what you did with them. I would have never thought to partially gild them. It looks great! But the part of this post that I most enjoyed, is your response to Beatnheart's comment. Hahaha.

I just noticed the comment about turning the priority boxes inside out. This is something that came up when I first started selling books on Amazon and perused the bulletin board there for information. I recall that someone mentioned they had used altered priority boxes or folders and the packages had been delivered or returned with 'postage due' and also they were warned with some kind of theft of materials notice. Who knows what's true, but I did just look it up at USPS and found this: http://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/601.htm#6_0

Oh good grief, I feel as though I've been away for months while I've had my head down buried in all manner of clay and metal dusts. Look at all this I've missed!! Blinking Cosmos is the chick for me in this little lot - very nice indeedy.Great tips about the packaging. How ingenious to diversify into selling crack too!!!

Hallo there fanci.
I had to come tell you that because of you I found myself looking at drawer pulls today in an antique mall..and considering how they would work in jewelry. I didn't buy any...yet..but I'm just sayin'

And..is that one of Petra's fishies up there? It looks dandy hanging on that earring. And I wish I could not worry about jump rings meeting and let them overlap at the ends like you do. Mine always just look silly if I do that. Yours jut look like they belong that way.
