I Actually Joined a Challenge.

Oh My Blog! I totally don't ever join in on anything (cuz I'm a rebel like that) but after seeing this post I had to have me one of these:

C Koop Beads
How cool are they? Way, that's how.

And in a fit of insanity, I actually wrote to ask Lorelei for the pink one. I know. But I assumed someone else would get it cuz in a room full of girls, pink gets grabbed up pretty fast. Then I took a closer look and realized the other, subtler colors were awesome. And for those new to this blag- here's the last thing I listed on etsy:
Days of Ill Omen.
So when the package arrived, like, 2 days later, it was all:

(Well, almost...)

Eek! what was I thinking? Pink? Me? I'm all tough and boyish and stuff (I mean, for a jewelry maker) (OK, just in my own mind)... Then I literally turn around and see all the elements pre-laid-out for (dum-da-da):

LOOK AT EEET!

LOOK AT EET MORE!

And it was done!!! Fate. The gods of bling smiled on me.
Also amazement cuz I was having trouble with the squareness of the pyramid- which I got in Uruguay with the rhinestone button. (Also, beads right over and under the clasp by ChelleV2 and the rounds are Gaea . If you can see the little purples they're Radiantmind. And there's some beach stones and Indian yummies and labradorite and rose quartz and wire and chain and fabric and dog hair and yeah.)
So now we do a triumphant dance of triumph.

Go look at all the others:
1. Lucid Moon Studio
2. Ann Rishell
11. Grubbi

this is beautiful!!! I have been enjoying the tiny stars you are incorporating in some of these recent pieces. That chain is to die for so many wonderful elements. I like the progression of labradorite to rose quartz. Bravo!!

You did amazing! It is so pretty (pink) and feminine, and tough! To me it says I'm a girl, but don't mess with me. I love it, and would love to wear it!

Well, couldja do any better at rocker chick meets ballerina? This is so totally different from anything I wear, and I love it!! Love the tiny little star wand, the awesome rough texture with the sweet pinks. So glad you were a part of the challenge, so I could find your blog! Way to go!

How thrilled was I when I realized you were also doing this challenge? Well, I have read your blog for ages, love your stuff - and don't comment much. I will blame the RSS reader. Your work is very original, and this piece is wonderful. I agree with Lorelei - the rose quartz and labradorite - delicious! Nice to finally meet you!

Wow. Woo-hoo! I have to say, I wouldn't have known what to do if I got a pink box. You, on the other hand, rocked it hard. What a fascinating and original piece! Well done:)

I love, love, love this piece! ... and i don't even like pink to much.
I think it's that kind of earty feeling that speaks to me. Pink or not, I would'nt like it any other way :)

Super nice Regina! The pyramid is just perfect. And that rhinestone (?) thing holding it. You really managed to work that pink into your own style in a very attractive way. :-)

Super COOL!! I love the eclectic combination of everything and I adore those sparkly sugar beads with the pebbles. I can tell that you are a very vivacious gal :)

I love the colors! Great job!

I love how you rock pink. The pyramid was a perfect solution because you would've had to be careful to to cover up too much of the pink, this does it perfick. And the grungy sparkles and handmade beads...UGH. You're too awesome. Now I want to do a challenge!

I just love your work! Darkly romantic! The pink totally works in this piece. You know, pink actually used to be thought of as a "masculine" color. Funny how things change.

You've done a wonderful job of pulling together unique elements that are both earthy and glam and create a tribal, shamanistic vibe that totally and truly ROCKS! Great job!

I love the way you took your pink shadowbox and totally made it into your signature style! I would be afraid of that shade of pink, but you toned it down with the elements you used and made an awesome necklace! Love your end result - great job!!

Yep, I had my eye on the pink one too! And I'm cracking up at the frou frou jewelry box analogy! Glad you thought to ask for it, because you really did a great job. I love all the stones you used, especially the unexpected flash of blue from the labradorite. So pretty!
